The rule to keep
Kindness is given. Mercy is given anyway.
Kindness answers someone who was pleasant. Mercy is what you hand to Denise and Victor — before an apology, before it is deserved. That is why Psalm 103:8 says God is slow to anger: he leaves room that nobody earned. And the lesson’s own Remember This: showing kindness to the people around us is one way to show our love for them.

These are the seven you can do with empty hands. Same shape as the last station — three, three, and one — but split by what part of a person you are helping.

The Prayer You Must Not Paraphrase
Every other station rewards understanding. This one rewards exact words — because Prayer Completion gives you a line with a hole in it, and only the right word fills it.
You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls,
and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.
O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy,
envelop the whole world and empty yourself out upon us.
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus

The Divine Mercy Prayer

The prayer is one long stream of water, and each part hands you the next word for it. The source of life gushes forth → the ocean of mercy opens up → O Fount of Life → a fountain of Mercy. Lose your place mid-prayer and the water word tells you which part you are in.

Sunday in Barangay San Roque
You have never read this story before. Every one of the five questions needs a different station — that is the point. Read it once, slowly.
It is Sunday morning on Dimasalang Street. The Reyes family — Nanay Let, Tatay Bong, and their children Migo and Ces — eat pandesal together, then walk to San Roque Parish for the 8:00 Mass. After the last hymn they stay in the pew a few minutes without speaking. On the way home they stop at the palengke, then go to Lolo Tasyo’s house.
Migo takes his lolo’s hand and brings it to his forehead. “Mano po.”
Ces opens her phone. Under her post from last week’s field trip there are two new comments. Kim wrote: “Ang saya naman, Ces! Congrats sa award mo.” Bryan wrote: “Wala namang big deal ‘yan. Madali lang ang award na ‘yan.”
That afternoon a fire hits four houses at the end of the street. By evening the parish youth group has brought rice and bottled water to the four families, and Kuya Nilo has opened the parish hall so they have somewhere to sleep. Ces sits with her classmate Ann, whose house burned, and just listens while Ann cries.
